34th Library and Information Services Month

𝗖𝗡𝗨 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 joins in commemorating the 𝟑4𝙩𝙝 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡. This year’s theme, “𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙑𝙊𝘾𝘼𝘾𝙔: 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙏𝙤𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨,” highlights the vital role libraries play in fostering inclusivity and empowerment within our communities.

November 4-7, 2024 – Library Caravan to all External Campuses Library Assessment and Staff Trainings (Catmon, Medellin, Balamban, Argao and Alegria)

1st Stop – CNU Catmon  Campus

• Led by our supervisor Dr. Carlou John S. Letigio , and our dedicated 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨, conducting library assessments at our 𝘾𝙉𝙐 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨, ensuring we provide the best resources and services for our communities. Additionally, we’ll offer staff training sessions to empower our library staff with the skills needed to enhance our library services.

2nd Stop – CNU Medellin Campus & 

“𝑬-𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 & 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕”

• Our students, faculty, and staff participated in an insightful Library Assessment and hands-on Training on Using E-Resources. From discovering new databases to learning how to maximize digital tools, it was a day of empowerment and growth in navigating the vast world of online research and resources.

3rd Stop – CNU Balamban Campus

“𝑬-𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈”

Donated a selection of books to enrich the Balamban Campus library and provided e-resources training to students, faculty, and staff.

4th Stop – CNU Argao Campus

November 8-21, 2024 – Flex Mo, Library Mo Competition

CNU Librarians headed by the Supervisor of the Library Services, Dr. Carlou John S. Letigio, goes to PLAI National Congress and General Assembly 2024. The theme for this year’s Congress is: “Knowledge Integration: Connecting Minds, Empowering Communities” held at Grand Menseng Hotel Davao City from 19-22 November 2024.
