CNU Learning Resource Center joins in commemorating the 35th 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.

This year’s theme, 𝓛𝓐𝓒𝓔-𝓤𝓟: “Libraries – A Hub for Cultural Exploration and Unity through Partnership”, highlights the vital role libraries play in fostering inclusivity and empowerment within our communities.

Even as our LRC continues its recovery, we’re still here for you, Normalites! This year, our LISM celebration brings together community outreach, professional activities, and initiatives that keep learning and collaboration alive.

November 14, 2025 – Community Extension Service – Brgy. Labangon
As part of the Library and Information Services Month (LISM) 2025 celebration, the CNU Learning Resource Center, together with the BLIS and MLIS Departments, conducted a courtesy visit at Brgy. Labangon Hall to present plans for a proposed Barangay Reading Center. The team also carried out a needs assessment survey to understand the community’s literacy priorities.

Thank you to Hon. Frangil Labra Dagatan, Barangay Councilor, and her staff for the warm welcome and productive discussion. The visit served as an initial step in exploring collaboration opportunities and supporting community literacy initiatives.

November 23–26, 2025 – CNU Librarians Join the PLAI National Congress 2025 and General Assembly
CNU LRC Librarians headed by the OIC-Supervisor, of the Library Services, Ms. Francheska Vonne S. Gali, goes to PLAI National Congress and General Assembly 2025. The theme for this year’s Congress is: “PLAI BRIDGES: Borderless. Research‑based. Innovative. Developmental. Global. Equitable. Sustainable,” held at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City.

The following librarians also attended the Congress:

2. Ms. Marjorie B. Hermosora, Law Librarian, and

4. Mr. Mark Francis G. Onde, Graduate School Librarian/Electronic Services Librarian

Their involvement underscores CNU LRC’s commitment to embracing the Congress’ vision — fostering borderless collaboration, research-driven innovation, equitable access, and sustainable practices in librarianship.

November 27, 2025 – Library Innovative Benchmarking
A benchmarking activity designed to explore best practices and emerging trends in library services, ensuring continuous enhancement of the LRC’s offerings.

CNU Librarians Benhmark at UNO-Recoletos Fray Luis De Leon Library

The visit focused on exploring best practices and innovations in library operations and services. CNU librarians extend their sincere thanks to Ma’am Sheila M. Dela Cruz, MSLIS, Director of the Fray Luis De Leon Library, and her team for warmly welcoming us and providing souvenirs and refreshments, making the visit both informative and memorable.

November 28–29 – Library Caravan – CNU Alegria Campus
A mobile library initiative bringing LRC services and resources closer to students and faculty at the Alegria Campus.
