RQAT validation for BLIS Program Offering at CNU

The College of Public Governance and Safety (CPGS) is now undergoing onsite validation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for the university’s permit application for the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program.
The RQAT technical validators are Dr. Jameson Lim and Dr. Maxie Doreen Leva-Cabaron.
Also present are the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Joseph elvir Tubilan, Vice President for Administration, Finance, and External Affairs Dr. Allan Roy Elnar, OIC Vice President for Special Needs, Early Childhood, Internationalization, and Lifelong Learning Dr. Venus Cortes, CNU Main Campus Director Dr. Carlou John Letigio, CPGS Dean Dr. Roselle Jardin, and soon to be faculty members for the BLIS program.
In her presentation, Prof. Lilia Vergara, the designated chair for this program, highlights the main purpose of offering this program.
“This is the university’s strategic initiative to address the nationwide shortage of librarians,” Prof. Vergara says.
